Over the past year, our team has received numerous calls for water damage caused by toilet overflow.

We have noticed that due to the nation wide stay at home policy , young kids had found a hobby of frequenting their toilets and stuffing toilet paper and other items that should not be in the toilet without their parents even knowing.

Here is also what you need to when when this unexpected event occurs ;

Do not flush the toilet

Flushing the toilet will only cause more water for flow out

 1. Stop the overflowing toilet

You can do this by turning off the water valve

2. Block access

The toilet should not be used by anyone protect them for hazardous waste and prevent contamination

3. Remove excess water

Use towels and any absorbable clothes to prevent from further soaking surfaces

 Assess water damage and call a water damage technician in your area to help sanitize and dry out the floor and walls if affected
